Internet Explorer Browser Vulnerability Test
Before going any further, please make sure that you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer to view this page, because this vulnerability does not exist in other web browsers.
Virus Detection
It is best to have your anti virus detection turned off, for this test.
This is because it is the browser that is being tested and your anti virus software
may detect the method of infection as a virus and quarantine our test file.
If you feel that you must leave your anti virus protection turned on, select the option to allow the action once. You may have to push the allow button many times before the test is finished.

How the test works.
When you click on the "TEST MY BROWSER NOW" link above, it will bring you
to our test page. This test page uses a method known as the
"JS.Exception.Exploit" by some anti virus programs. The JS.Exception.Exploit
is not a virus, it is an exploit used by some trojans to transfer
a file to your computer and run it using Java Script. This is how it gets it's
name "JS"=Java Script "Exception Exploit" not virus.
If your browser is exploitable, this test page will be able to copy a file
to your computer. If the test works successfully the file BrowserX.hta will
be copied to your C:\WINDOWS\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp Directory.
BrowserX.hta is not a virus, it is a test file that will start itself at next reboot and display a message box directing you to the Microsoft Windows Update Page.
You will still need to Delete it from the Start Up directory to stop it restarting each time your computer starts up.
If you allowed it to start up it will create BrowserX.exe on C:\ which is harmless and only displays a pop up message box which directs you to the
Microsoft Windows Updates page.
If the exploit is able to copy the file to your hard drive, you should install
the latest critical updates on your computer immediately. If you do not update,
you can easily become infected by any trojan or virus, simply by visiting a
web page using this or some other JS exploit.
